This two day course is designed for law enforcement and military sniper/scout teams who are currently assigned or preparing for deployment with a unit which utilizes precision rifle marksman. Well qualified citizens are also welcomed to take this course with instructor approval. Bring your hunting buddy, and have a great time. The topics covered include:
- Use of rally points and firing positions
- Preparation for deployment
- Duties of sniper and scout
- Establishing a zero
- Applied ballistics
- Firing through various materials
- Human anatomy and shot placement
- Positional shooting
- Angled shooting
- Ranging and adjusting for various distances
Equipment: Precision rifle, optics, eye and hearing protection. Camouflage gear, binoculars, weather protective clothing. At least 150 rounds of match grade ammunition. Log books will be provided to the students.
